Extracts from the book of RAFAEL
A different destination of Colonel Fawcett's last expedition
and his great objective, the city of 'Z'.
|
Acúchimai (meaning Stone City),
is a troglodyte city completely camouflaged within the bowels of a
Chapada Mountain and well protected by the local Indians somewhere on
the great Planálto between the Roncador Ranges, the Rio Araguáia, the
Rio das Mortes and the town of Goiás – part of the vast inhospitable
area that Fawcett crossed during his wanderings Rafael is sure that he saw and lived for long periods of time amongst the Kúben, both in Puncháo (located in the Acre region) and in Acúchimai… and that they gave him a complete folio of information on their history (as well as the Fawcett mystery)… however, he cannot understand how, upon leaving them, that there has been a total time-warp between his arrival and his exit. It is only at the end of the story that he discovers the truth about his experiences. |
The complete, locked in our archives, story of Rafael can be found in
