
A
new expedition to the National Parks of TARIQUIA (Bolivia) and BARITU
(Argentina)
A
new plan is under development and a meeting was recently held between Mr.
Alfonso Blanco, Director of the Foundation PROMETA (Protect the environment of
Tarija) who is also the Administrator of the TARIQUIA National Park in the
southern Bolivian department of Tarija and Mr. Pablo Cingolani, Head and
Director of the Bolivian expeditions in La Paz.
The
subject of this meeting was based on and included details about the general
interest of both parties to organize an upcoming expedition to the territory
between the Bolivian and Argentinean borders, which houses two National Parks,
the TARIQUIA on the Bolivian side and the BARITU National Park in the Province
of SALTA on the Argentinean side.
Mr. Fabian
Ruocco, director of the Argentinean net of young volunteers for the environment
who will help both interested parties in further communications and contacts in
Salta and other territories of Argentina will be also attending this meeting.
